I have been called “Middle-Earth Maven” by Wired and “King Geek” by the Huffington Post. However, despite these two lovely titles I often find it difficult to explain who I am, mostly because I am a wide variety of things. A photographer, a web designer, a Tolkien enthusiast, a chemical engineering student or just generally a person who loves creating things. It all depends on who you ask.

In 2012 I created the website LotrProject where I put a huge family tree of the characters in the Lord of the Rings. To my surprise it gained a lot of attention from both Tolkien fans and media, with mentions in Wired, the Daily Beast, the Atlantic and the Guardian. The site has now grown tremendously and is the home of a variety of interactive tools which allows people to explore Middle-Earth. The project opened my eyes to the value of geeky projects, something which I talked about at TEDxGothenburg (see below).
